MS Access Developer - 1994 to Present

Over 20 years I've developed at least 300 databases.  Many very small that often served shortterm client needs.  In the late 1990's MS Access was very popular with the workgroups but was hated by IT Managers back when Novell Networks always had trouble with file handles.

Past customers have been Fortune  500 entities to the small business.  Scope of work usually is get it done fast and it's too complicated for us or we don't have the time.

The natural transistion was porting my skills to ASP, then to ASP.NET / .NET technologies.  The early days of .NET were bumpy with libraries that said they could do something but often failed but now Visual Studio (2012) is rock solid with zillions (big word) of features.

MS Acess is a solid application that serves many companies very well but MS Access has shortcomings that may or may not be a problem.  The .NET platform takes longer but outperforms in many ways but we can support either technology.
