A history snippet - Not Always a Programmer

Upon arrival in the Bay Area in 1978 work was available for anyone that or was willing to work. I bought some tools and turned my VW Bug into a work truck.  By 1986 the shop that grew from that early was approaching was having 50,000, 75,000 in revenues with millions of contracts looming.

A funny twist was the actual name was Mainframe Designs Cabinets and Millwork founded in 1981 which was nothing more than a coincidence as it had nothing to do with computers. The name came from one of those Budweiser nights.

Very often development requires some type of shopping cart control.  In this example were going to break down accessing the values in the grid control.  

The GridView Control:  Web Page View 





CommandName when the user clicks on the "ButtonField" the code behind responds in the case the "Add" stored when the "Runat=Server" is called when clicked.
